Community Initiatives

All contributions support local students and community programs

The Sterling Rock Falls Community Trust has distributed over $3 million to assist local students since its inception in 1968 and over $845,500 to charitable organizations for projects including literacy, school initiatives, the fine arts, history, child care, animal welfare, senior center, Home of Hope, local food banks, and health and wellness of all ages in our community. Funds are awarded through grants for approved 501(c)3 organizations and community projects in Sterling and Rock Falls.


Scholarships are awarded to Sterling or Rock Falls residents who:

  • are graduating seniors from a Sterling or Rock Falls accredited high school including Newman, or
  • are current college students demonstrating both needs and success.

Community Initiatives

  • Paul W. Dillon Endowment Fund: Income is distributed in the form of Grants for community improvements
  • Wm. & Bessie Robinson Memorial: Income is distributed yearly to the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society.
